Louise Greenwood MSc, BOst Med, DO, ND

Louise first discovered osteopathy in her teens when she suffered from chronic migraines; and her baby sister was struggling with sleep. She was amazed by the relief they both experienced, even after the first session.

Louise trained as an osteopath at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2008. Since then, she has worked in general practice, primarily in East Anglia and the South. She later pursued further education, earning a postgraduate master’s degree in osteopathy and teaching at the British School of Osteopathy (now the University College of Osteopathy). Following this, she returned to BCOM as a tutor, teaching osteopathic techniques and mentoring students in clinic for five years.

In January 2020, Louise began additional studies in paediatric osteopathy, treating young children at the London Clinic for Paediatric Osteopathy. She completed this training during the lockdown and her first maternity leave.

In the summer of 2024, Louise relocated to Northampton with her young family and is now excited to bring her expertise and care to the local community.

Louise enjoys working with patients from all walks of life, adapting her techniques to suit each individual’s needs.

What is Osteopathy:

Osteopathy is a hands-on approach to healthcare that focuses on the body’s structure and function. It aims to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and promote overall well-being by addressing imbalances in the musculoskeletal system—the network of bones, joints, muscles, and soft tissues that supports and moves the body.

Osteopaths take a holistic view of health, working to identify and treat the root causes of discomfort rather than just the symptoms. This approach helps restore structural harmony and supports the body’s natural ability to heal.

Treatment often includes gentle techniques such as massage, joint mobilization, and stretching, as well as tailored advice on exercises and lifestyle changes to support long-term recovery and health.
